COLD BURN: NEW YORK WINTERS

COLD BURN: NEW YORK WINTERS

By Justin Sorensen

It begins in the blue quiet where the day unthreads itself and the night gathers like a slow inhale. Shapes dissolve. Light thins. The air sharpens with a kind of beautiful danger. Three figures slip into this hush as if answering a call no one else can hear. Their breath lifts like smoke signals. Their movement spills and fractures, reforms, becomes something closer to instinct than motion. And then, almost unnoticed, the city around them shifts its weight.

New York watches from the edges, ancient and restless, a giant waking behind the veil. The streets flicker. The dark stirs. Every step lands with the feeling that the world is tilting, opening, pulling them deeper. The night leans toward them with a pulse that matches their own. And in that charged, electric silence, the feeling rises. Cold Burn.
